What is going on Around Town?

After a COLD and dreary winter, I am sick with cabin fever. Spring is right around the corner and Indianapolis will feel ALIVE again! Once again, Indianapolis will be home to NCAA championship events this year! And whether you are a big sports fan or not there is still fun ways to be a part of the action. Catch the Division 1 Women’s NCAA Championship at Conseco Fieldhouse April 3 and 5...Or go even earlier! Starting on April 1, downtown Indianapolis and the NCAA will be hosting a lot of FUN events for adults and kids alike!


Center Stage @ Tourney Town at the Convention Center

April 1-3

Free daily concerts; national, regional and local talent; festival-style food; retail; and activities.


NCAA Youth Clinics by PowerAde @ Tourney Town at the Convention Center

April 1 from 11:30-3:30

Indianapolis youth ages 8-16 can participate in these free clinics that are open to the public. Indy boys and girls can enhance their basketball, life, and conditioning skills with NCAA womens’ coaches, student athletes, national basketball experts.


Cirque de Salute

April 1st from 7:30-8:30 pm @ the Convention Center

Walk the red carpet and see the 4 competing teams make their entrance to the NCAA Final Four Tournament.


4Kay Run by PowerAde Zero

April 2 @ 8 AM at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway

This 4k run/walk is in honor of the late North Carolina State University’s womens’ head coach, Kay Yow and proceeds will benefit womens’ cancer research through the Kay Yow Cancer Fund. Tickets are $20 online and $25 on April 2.


Circle City Dribble

April 3rd Noon-6pm Watch several thousand youth (ages 18 and under) dribble through the streets of Indianapolis. The dribble will begin at Conseco Fieldhouse and is free.
